1.a. Immuno-diagnostic kit - DDIA kit
Developed in JIPD, available since 2000, has been applied in:
- Human S. japonicum (China, large scale) in 2003. Lake, mountainous region: sensitivity rate >95%, cross reactivity rate 2%. Seropositive rate: 4.7% in transmission areas, 2.7% in transmission controlled, 0.4 % in transmission interrupted
- Human S.mekongi (Cambodia, Laos) in 2003. Sensitivity rate >95%, cross reactivity rate around 20% (with Opisthorchis viverrini). Seropositive rate: in Cambodia: 97.1%, in Laos 98.6%
- Human S. mansoni (Egypt) in 2004. Sensitivity rate >95%, seropositive rate: ?
- Cattle schistosomiasis. Sensitivity rate >95%, cross reactivity rate 4%
- Pig schistosomiasis. Sensitivity rate >95%, cross reactivity rate 6%
